So... Been cubing for the past few months and gotten VERY addicted to it. Figured I'd start posting in a rubiks community. Name's Ken, in Sunnyvale CA. I have the 3x3x3, 4x4x4, and 5x5x5... and I got a program from gabbasoft.com that emulates cubes up to 20x20x20.

My records so far are as follows...

3x3x3: 1:18
4x4x4: 5:10
5x5x5: 15:34
6x6x6: 31:45
7x7x7: 1:04:48

Am currently working on a 20x20x20, because after realizing how to do the 6 and 7... I just repeat the same algorithms found in the 4x4x4 and 5x5x5... So...

Got a 6x6x6 center face on each side and it took me just over an hour.... Gonna keep on whittling away at it. (anyone have any advice for me?)

Also, I have a new goal... trying to solve the 4x4x4 Rubik's Revenge with less than 200 moves... We'll see how that goes, huh?

EDIT, added shortly after: Just got the 4x4x4 Rubik's Revenge done in 186 moves, yay! ^_^

heyy, you live near me :O

& thanks for reminding me I'm even IN cubing communities; I should post photos from the Caltech Winter 2007 competition! (which, had you posted a few days earlier, I totally would've told you to go to) but for now I really need to sleep.

anyways, welcome to the community, congrats on reaching your goal with the Rubik's Revenge, and good luck with that 20x20x20 (gosh, can you imagine solving one of those things in real life? it'd be so hard to move!)!

lol, sweet dreams to you then...

What city do you live in if you don't mind me asking?

As for the Caltech Winter '07, I'd have gone but I had to work and was unable to make it.

As for the 20x20x20... I don't want to imagine moving that thing... My 5x5x5 is stiff enough. I think if they ever DO come out with one that large, I'll probably still prefer this computer program instead. I'll tell you though, having to count 10 cubies from the edge just to find the center when you start is NOT A FUN THING TO DO.
